Our Student Council is teaming up with Operation Christmas Child and Country Santa to bring smiles to children this season!
🗓️ Collection Dates: November 3 – December 1
📍 Drop-Off Locations: Cafeteria & Front Office
We’re collecting new, unopened toys and items like:
✨ Toys – dolls, balls, puzzles, cars, stuffed animals
✏️ School Supplies – pencils, crayons, notebooks
🧼 Personal Care – toothbrushes, combs, washcloths
🧤 Clothing – hats, gloves, socks
🎨 Crafts & Activities – coloring books, stickers, playdough

We are honored to invite all Veterans to join us on Tuesday, November 11th, as we celebrate and thank you for your service!
🕢 7:30–8:00 AM – Veterans are invited to help open car doors for students (for those who are able)
🍳 8:00–8:45 AM – Breakfast provided for Veterans in the cafeteria
🎶 8:30–8:45 AM – Musical tribute honoring our Veterans
👣 8:45–9:00 AM – Veterans will parade through the halls for a special student clap-through

“Last year, SDPC adopted HMH Into Reading for K5–5th grade, and the results have already been remarkable for our students. Structured Literacy teaches reading by explicitly and systematically showing how the English language works. This approach has helped build a strong foundation for our kindergartners, giving them confidence in both reading and writing while enabling them to decode much more quickly. Our first grade teachers are already seeing tremendous success from students who began with Structured Literacy in kindergarten, noting how well-prepared they are as they enter first grade.
