🌟 Eagle Essential for April: COMMUNICATION 🦅💬
A simple question—“How are you?”—can open the door to connection! But when we just say “Good” and stop there, the conversation ends.
Next time, try asking “How are you?” back! It keeps the conversation going and helps build stronger relationships. 💙
Let’s practice great communication this month, Eagles!

📊🐠🐬🦈🐙 Math + Fun in Mrs. Boiter’s Class! 🐙🦈🐬🐠📊
This week, Mrs. Boiter’s class is diving into the world of graphs—learning what they are, how to use them, and even how to create our own! As part of the lesson, students became data collectors, surveying staff members on their favorite sea creatures: shark, octopus, dolphin, or fish. 🌊
After gathering responses, the kiddos turned their data into bar graphs back in the classroom! 📉📈 Next, they will analyze the results and draw conclusions based on their findings.
Hands-on learning + real-world application = one engaging math lesson! 🧠✨

🔥 Hagood Hearts in Action! ❤️🚒
Our Hagood staff, students, and families have truly shown the power of kindness and community! When the call went out to support the first responders battling the fires near Table Rock, you stepped up in a big way. 💪
💌 A huge shoutout to everyone who wrote encouraging cards for the firefighters working tirelessly to keep us safe. Your words of appreciation and gratitude will mean the world to them!
🍽️ Thank you to the volunteers who served meals to those on the front lines and helped make sure our heroes were taken care of.
🎁 And look at this amazing collection of donations for Greg Hayes and his dedicated team at Wesleyan Camp, who have been working around the clock to provide food and shelter for those responding to the fires.
This is what makes Hagood special—a school and community that comes together to support one another in times of need. 💙💛

We appreciate your understanding and support, and we look forward to a fantastic event in May! In the meantime, we hope everyone stays safe and enjoys a wonderful weekend.

🚒✨ A Heartwarming Act of Kindness from Hagood Students! ✨🚒
Our incredible 5th graders in Mrs. Stone’s class went above and beyond by creating a thoughtful care package for our local firefighters! ❤️ These young Eagles took the initiative to show their appreciation for the brave men and women who work tirelessly to keep our community safe.
We're so proud of their kindness, generosity, and community spirit! Way to soar high, Eagles! 🦅💙

🌟 Celebrating Reading and Kindness in First Grade! 📚✨
This week, our principal, Mrs. Hendricks, had the joy of reading "Those Shoes" by Maribeth Boelts to Mrs. James' first-grade class! This heartwarming story about kindness and generosity fit perfectly into their exciting March Madness Book Bracket!
Throughout March, students have been diving into a variety of books and earn chances to shoot for fun classroom rewards each day. Mrs. Hendricks even joined in on the action and took a shot for the class! 🏀🎉
What a fantastic way to combine the love of reading and the importance of kindness! We’re so proud of our eager readers! 💛📖
