Due to varied snow accumulation across the county and concerns about hazardous travel conditions, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, will be an eLearning Day for The School District of Pickens County (SDPC). Students will not attend school in person.
According to most weather forecasts, temperatures will not rise above freezing until midday, meaning roads that are currently unsafe will likely remain hazardous through the morning hours. After consulting with emergency management and assessing road conditions, we have made the decision to transition to an eLearning Day to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
eLearning Days allow students to make up days missed due to inclement weather or other emergencies by completing a set of assignments within 5 school days. For more detailed information regarding eLearning Days, please visit our eLearning Day website.
