YAMs – Young Appalachian Musicians

Group lessons are available after school on designated days for violin, mandolin, banjo and guitar after school for students in grades 3 – 5. Instructors teach rote method in the style of Appalachian musicians and students learn to play.

In early Fall of each school year, students receive information about the YAMs program and parents are invited to attend an informational program where the program is explained and questions are answered.

Fees are based on school lunch status, and lessons are offered from mid-Fall until mid-Spring.

Mrs. Anne LaBoon is the coordinator/manager of the program.
