Volunteer Information

We welcome volunteers to our school!

All volunteers are required to go through volunteer training in accordance with School District of Pickens County guidelines. Training sessions are conducted at Hagood, and volunteers may be trained at any school site (including Central Services) in the School District of Pickens County.

Parents and community members should be trained in order to participate in the following activities: chaperoning field trips, mentoring students, reading with students, helping in the Media Center, helping at field day, room mothers, classroom events, helping students with projects, and others.

When volunteers report to Hagood Elementary School, they should enter the school through the front office, sign in on the computer at the front desk and wear the nametag that is provided. When leaving Hagood Elementary School, all volunteers should exit through the front office after logging off at the computer.

We have some very active volunteers who contribute many hours to help our students, teachers and our school. We appreciate volunteers and your participation is important to us.
