After-School Programs

Homework Center

Hagood hosts an after-school homework center that is directed and managed by Mrs. Linda Constance.

The Homework Center is for students in grades two through five and operates from September until state-wide testing in May. The Homework Center is open until 4:00pm Monday through Thursday after school.

Fees are $5.00 per child per day or $20.00 weekly. Fees are due every Monday for the upcoming week.

2013-2014 Homework Center Handbooks and application forms are available upon request in the school office.


Students in grades four and five have the opportunity to audition in late Fall for Hagood's Chorus.

This group meets for practices after school once weekly.

Chorus members participate in Pickens County's Chorus and have the opportunity to perform for an audience.

Student Council

One student per homeroom in grades three, four and five is selected to be a member of Hagood's Student Council.

Meetings are held once monthly after school.

Students have the opportunity to suggest improvements for our school.

YAM – Young Appalachian Musicians

Group lessons are available after school on designated days for violin, mandolin, banjo and guitar after school for students in grades 3 – 5. Instructors teach rote method and students learn to play.

Fees are based on school lunch status, and lessons are offered from mid-Fall until mid-Spring.

Mrs. Anne LaBoon is the coordinator/manager of the program.
